Just recently Amazon customers have been warned they could lose thousands of {currencyName} if they fall for the “convincing” fake email  or text scam.

A bogus claim stating recipients have made an order online and mimic an automatic customer email notification.

They’re then told they need to pay a fee in order to reschedule a missed parcel delivery,  or have ordered products like an expensive vintage chandelier, Bose stereos, iPhones and luxury watches.

In order to get a shopper’s financial information, the email cleverly indicates that if the recipient didn’t authorise the transaction they can click on the supposed help centre link provided to receive a full refund.

They’re nearly impossible to spot as the scammers as the messages identically  mirror that of the  legitimate websites and their chain of followup notifications

One shopper lost $2750 after clicking a link. Another one $1490,in fact these type of scams contribute to a crime being reported every 2.5 seconds and why on average it costs every single person over $750 per year.
